2003 Silverado with Heater Problems.. only works after I go 60mph
It's the strangest thing; down in Houston luckily we don't need to use our heat that often, but when it's cold it's COLD! Anyhow my heater only seems to work after I go 60 mph, and will stop working if I slow down. In rush hour traffic, it will not work at all. I have notices the temp. gauge is reading higher (but not in the red) than normal.
I've had my A/C panel replaced twice already for problems on the dial in the middle. I really don't want to go back to the dealer for them to replace this panel again! Could it be something simple a local mechanic or myself can fix?
Any tips would be great.. my truck is almost paid off & looking forward to keeping it another 100K!
Thanks

Does the blower motor stop sorking? or do you just lose your heat? If its the latter, it could be thermostat, a partially plugged heater core, or simply low coolant
