Angry 2005 Chevy Silverado Z71

My 2005 Silverado Z71 has been running extremely rough, has lost power and sometimes hesitates when taking off from a stopped position. Is this a timing belt issue? A transmission issue? A sensor issue? I just had the plugs replaced last week. It currently has 69,000 miles on it. Help please!

are the plugs gapped right? any broken or chewed up spark plug wires? are the wires all the way seated to the plug?

Hi lisaheft,

Welcome to the Chevy Forums.

First, the Vortec V8 uses a metal timing chain and gears, so, short of extremely harsh abuse, no worries there.

Have the air and gas filters been changed recently?
