I just get a new 2006 SS Intimidator and had a couple of questions for anyone who may have also or just anyone who knows. The dealer replaced the rims on the truck with aftermarket rims and tires. How unique were the rims that were on there? Think they might valuable to a collector if I sell the truck? Also was there any special manual that came with the truck? I saw them pull a silverado manual out of a box and didnt know if the one in the truck was lost or what.

I'll post some pics soon. Its dark now and my flash is weak. Thats cool there is going to be a Jimmie Johnson Edition. Do you know anything about what is going to be or have you seen any articles online about it? Do you guys know of more Special edition trucks comming out for 07?

Oh yeah one thing has come up with the truck i thought id ask about. There is a hard shudder under normal breaking. There are taking the truck to check it out in a few days. All i could thing is that maybe there is a warped rotor. I hope thats it and not something like a broken ABS sensor.

Any thoughts?

I was just being 'tounge in cheek'. I don't know if they will ever come out with a Jimmie Johnson edition truck. I can see them doing it if he wins 7 championships like Big E or maybe 4 like Gordon. I'm a big Johnson fan but I don't think he's earned his own truck edition yet.

 

yo thats bs, if you bought a brand new truck, even if its a left over you should get the stock wheels and manuals, no matter what, bc you know they are going to sell those rims to someone and you paid for them. my buddys got one, and its mint.

 

Here is a picture of the wheels that came with truck. As for the manual as long as its a 2006 silverado manual thats would be the right one. Chevrolet only has a basic manuals for each model. I got a 2006 SS Malibu last year and I got the same manual aswould have came with the base model.Your manual should have the basics for Silverado, as well it should also haveinformation on the SS.

 

yea id def be pissed if i didnt get the oem wheels, that truck is kind of a collectors item and w.o the wheels its not going to be worth as much... even if you have them and never use them, you still should get them...
