2007 6.0 runs rough
howdy once again. My 2007 chevy 2500HD with the 6.0 is running rough as hell. It has 13,900 miles on it. no check engine light, just got the onstar report back it says nothings wrong. I was thinking bad gas, but i only get gas on my military base, and no one else is having trouble like this that gets gas there. It is a heavy vibration. On older trucks Id have a few ideas, dirty injectors, carbon build-up, something along them lines. But on a truck this new im at a loss. I bought the Truck brand new in december. thanks for the help in advance.
Because they created that diagnostic trouble code system on our trucks to work for THEM, not US.
Ever wonder why all the trouble codes are hooked up to one idiot light on your dash, when they could have easily had a separate light for EACH sensor. What MORON decided to hook up all the trouble codes onto ONE indicator? They want to cause confusion on purpose.
As soon as MSD makes an ignition system for my truck, I'm going to gut my electrical system like a fish. With a company that's going bankrupt, it's one hell of an indictment that they purposely build trucks of lower quality that are harder to fix than what they made 20 or even 10 years ago.
We shouldn't be leaning on trucks which are technically antiques because the Mother Corporation lost it's way "Bright lights,Big city" style. They say a corporation doesn't feel shame, but how can any employee of GM not be bothered by the fact that GM's ultimate legacies to it's loyal public will be planned obsolescence, abuse of trust, and flagrantly proprietary design for profit over quality and customer satisfaction.
Oh, yeah, check your MAF sensor, dude.

You sound a lil' bitter. I do agree though. My first truck a 89 Silverado with a 350. pulled 20mpg all the way to 235,000miles. and ran great til 287,000miles. then i took ownership and rebuilt it myself at 16. Now i'm 22, and i had to google MAF sensor. I'm young but to old school for these "technologically advanced" vehicles.
If you'd been dealing with this corporate proprietary crap since the seventies, you'd be bitter, too.
GM's a perfect example of a company that chose to shatter the trust of it's customer base while shamelessly whoring every buck. It didn't have to wind up like this, it chose this path. No Japanese firm would have squandered GM's massive home advantage, or abused it's customer's trust so badly. They would have taken the long view, and proudly have died trying, rather than ever stooping to CONSIDER flying to DC in the corporate jet to put themselves through the ultimate embarrassment of begging the fed for help like homeless crackheads.
Their failure and worldwide humiliation demeans every American. Those spineless tadpoles make me sick.
Did you check to make sure your throttle position sensor is clear of obstructions and debris?
