the 06 should have a 4speed auto right? , if this transmission I have goes out before it's paid off, I will have lost my faith in these newer Chevys. And I really don't want that to happen.

well he bought the truck used with 24k miles..but im guessing it was used for a little towing.. and it was under warrenty! but thats kind of crappy of it needing rebuilt after 24k miles. but now it has around 45k on it and its never had a prob. since. no slipping no nothing.

I'm sure mines fine. I just get nervous when it comes to transmissions.

First post; Reading your 2007 Silverado complaints makes me sick. I just bought a used LTZ with 38K miles. Already problems with remote starter, and annoying screeching sound when closing driver side window. What's next?

this is the reason why im sticking with my 90 1500 Z71. ALOT less electronics. only real problem im having with it right now is a bad exhaust leak where the header meets the y-pipe and bad machining on the heads. although i think im starting to have trans problems. it hesitates before shifting and kicks the RPM's up before finally shifting. making me nervous.... but its only got 95k miles on it.
