i had a 94 blazer that i should have kept. the only problem i had with it was i had a broke ground on the fuel pump. my truck that i have now does that rev up before it goes into gear too.

Default Transmission Problems while in Reverse

I have a Silverado 4wd with 75K miles on it and have had two (2) issues recently while in reverse and moving backwards.

The first happened when my brother was backing out of a driveway that is perfectly flat and after getting 1/2 way down the drive, it clunked and stopped immediately and started a grinding sound in the rear end - he immediately shifted into park and got out to come and tell me what had happened. That was Christmas weekend.

Then today after lunch I was heading back to work and stopped at a party store for something. When leaving and in reverse, and this was uphill, the same thing happened...I shifted into neutral coasted back down into my space. Shifted into reverse - did the same thing - and now it seems to be fine??

Does this sound familiar to anyone / anyone had this happen on their's?? Any help that you have would be appreciated.
