Default tranny shifts hard into 2nd

when im drivin my trans shifts hard into2nd.. when i mean hard.. i mean i can squak the tires if i get the rpm just right.. which is probably bad for it.. lol i went to get the fluid changed and they said changeing it would just make it worse. any ideas? would it make it worse.. or would it make it better... my dads 92 GMC dually does almost the same thing.. shifts hard into second..no where near as hard as mine does..but his only happens whens its not warmed up. mine happens almost all the time.. warmed up or not.... anyway..any help for be good thx

I think i would put a filter kit in it and get a bottle of lucas trans oil. That stuff is pretty good for hard shifts and slipping.

I've always heard that changing the fluid will make it worse, Id try the Lucas additive.

I put some Slick 50 Trans additive in my wifes car the other day. Going into 4th the Eclipse would hesitate then slam into 4th put the Slick 50 in and it took care of it immeadiettly. I still need to get the trans flushed though. Fluid is black.
