Default 2009 Chevy 2500HD four wheel drive issue....

Hey there, i just purchased within the last month a 2009 chevy 2500hd LT, trucks runs like new but for the first time i took it to my hunting club and got a little stuck on a logging road. when in four wheel drive high or low if i don't keep the RPM's below or around 2000 the tires would spin rpms would rise then all of a sudden the RPM's would jump up and the truck would seem to loose drive until it dropped below 2000 rpms then drive will reengage.. is this normal? or do i have and issue!!

thanks

Hi nay_p0,

Congrats on your recent Chevy truck purchase. We understand your concern with your RPMs and hope that a few more forum members will share their experiences. If you'd like for us to try and investigate this further, we'd be happy to check for any service announcements listed for your vehicle. If this is something you're interested in please PM us your VIN, mileage, contact info, and dealership.

Thanks,
