I have a new silverado reg cab has anyone taken the stock radio/cd player out I was wondering if there any pre out jacks as I am thinking of installing new speakers and a 4 channel amp

 

If you have onstar i heard if you remove stock radio the truck might not start. I am not positive about that . My friend who has a silverado 2500HD told me that happened when he removed his stock radio with onstar.

 

reg work truck no onstar just the factory non bose am/fm/cd head unit

 

No preouts, you are better off buying an installation kit and a aftermarket radio. otherwise you are going to have to buy a convertor to swith the wired out puts to RCA.
