Default 2014 Silverado "Knocking" noise

Hi, I have a 2014 silverado with 20,500 miles. It was bought new by me and I started having trouble with a knocking noise at around 14,000. The dealer told me twice that this was normal for 2014,2015 silverados. Check the video out and let me know if this sounds normal ??? Ive been fighting with the chevy dealer for 4 months on this matter, even have went straight to chevy just to have them say that they believe the dealer.

Thanks, Zac

Typical dealer BS. A brand new vehicle should not be making that noise. I have a 2014 as well. It does not make that sound. Sound quality is a little funky, but, it sounds like a spark leak to me. My truck is in the shop now, having the entire rearend replaced. When I brought it in, they looked at me like I had two heads, when I explained what it was doing. Their response, "it's a truck, that's normal". If you are not getting anywhere, call GM. Do not give up.

Vandlor, have you seen any other 14's with this type of problem?

I'm with Vandlor, lose spark plug or exhaust leak... In any case, NO That's Not Normal.

video wouldn't open so I could not hear the noise.

these engines are direct injection so the injectors will make an very audible clicking noise. It would be very easy to go the sales office to look at a new truck with the same engine. Start the engine, open the hood and compare.
