Hey I was wondering if you guys can give me some advice. I recently purchased a 2014 silverado ( 3 weeks ago ) and my touch screen mylink radio is having issues. The first thing I did was bring it right back to the dealer when i noticed the issues. Their response was it needed to have the software updated ( seriously on a brand new truck ?!?!?) so they went about that and its still acting up. They want to replace the unit which means they have to take out the whole dash. Im not to comfortable with them doing so. The truck only has 500 miles on it! What should I do? Is there any grace period for them to give me a new truck?

 

It would help to know what type of "issues".

 

they don't have to take the dash out to change a radio... one bezel, that's it.

 

Not a big fan of the MyLink radio. Overly complicated for nothing. What irritates me is on the left streering wheel channel control, I have to press twice to change the readio channel. Very annoying! The touch screen isn't all that great either. I have to touch the screen more than once to get menus etc...and it's very well calibrated. This is my biggest turn off with the truck so far.
