Default 2019 GMC 2500 rims on 2015 Chevy 2500

Hey guys. In need of an answer. I purchased a used 2015 Chevy 2500HD. The sticker calls for an R18 rim but someone must have done a switcheroo before it was run through the auction because it has 17s on it. I see a guy on FB Market place as brand new GMC R18 rims that came off a 2019 2500. Both are 8 lugs but not sure if there is some other reason they won't fit. Are the 2 compatible?

Thanks!
J

Yes.

2011 & Newer GMC / Chevrolet 2500 - 3500 PICKUPS have 8x180mm wheel bolt pattern. GMC & Chevrolet HD pickups have the same wheel offset, etc. too.
Pre-2011 GM 2500 - 3500 pickups (and 2500-3500 vans all the way to current MY) have the 8x6.5" (165.1mm) wheel bolt pattern.

They're always changing something. The new 2020MY HD pickups would be the first real opportunity they'd have to change anything significant, but even then, it's almost certainly not the wheel bolt circle. You can check an online replacement wheel lookup (e.g.: Tire Rack) for further confirmation.
