Default 2021 Silverado 1500 Engine noise

Hey guys,

I have a 2021 Silverado with 3800 miles and now I’m getting this noise from the engine that’s causing me to worry because I have a vacation trip next week. The noise mostly starts during cold start up, but occasionally noticed the same pop pop noise when accelerating from 0mph. No codes have been thrown. Any thoughts?

that noise is definitely a collapsed lifter. It's a big issue with the newer L82 and L84 5.3 engine's. I don't recommend taking that vehicle on any long trip, the noise is just going to louder and more frequent as well as start misfiring if not taken care of soon. You definitely have warranty, might as well get it to a dealer so they can get the parts ordered cause some may already be backordered. I've attached a PDF of the bulletin
