Default 350 motor swap intake question

Blew the motor in my 84' Silverado... NOT happy. I got ahold of a 350 out of a 70' and am getting ready to make the swap. My father in law is going to help since this is my first time swapping a motor. Do we need to use the intake off of my 84' on the 70' motor in order to get it to pass smog (we're in Cal)? If so, are they interchangeable?

Also any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance forthe help.

i'm pretty sure they'll swap out, but i don't see a need for it. shouldn't makemuch differance in smog, if any. you'll probably want to change the carb, among other small things. but i'm not a pro, so definatly do more research.
