4 secound delay on Vortec Max?
I recently purchased a 2007 chevy vortec max and I love it, however, I have learned that there is a 4 secound wide open throttle delay due to those damn emissions. I am hoping to find out a way around this and get the acceleration that I spent my hard earned money for! If anybody knows a solution, I would very much like to hear it. Thanx!

Probably less about emissions and more about a weak transmission that can't handle all of the engine's torque.
Have seen some posts saying that a custom tune can reduce, but not eliminate, the delay. If that's not something you want to pursue, then try gradually applying the throttle instead of just pushing it to the floor. The slower throttle input seems to help with our Suburban.
