454 oil pressure question

454 oil pressure question

my oil pressure at idle dropped to half, usually its above that when its at idle but today it dropped. when i give it throttle it goes up, should i be worried?

From: Eastern Va.

Check the pressure with a good known mechanical guage. Could be a faulty sending unit or dash gauge.
