Exclamation 4L60E to 4L80E Swap kit

I am upgrading my transmission on my 2001 Silverado 1500 5.3 from the stock 4L60E to the 4l80E. To achieve this I know I know to replace the fly wheel, re-position the transmission cross member, replace the harness, and shorten my drive shaft. Is there any kit out there with all the components i need? (Harness, pre-welded cross member, fly wheel, etc.)

Kit I'm not sure of, but I know you can get all the parts at transmissioncenter.net, I believe is the place. They have a section dedicated to 4l60e-4l80e swaps

for the time, effort, and money, i would just have the 60 beefed up. the 80 is a good trans, but extra weight, higher plasmic loss, and crappy first gear. your mpg will suffer..do you really need a 80 trans? what is the truck used for?

Well I was gonna beef up my 60 but I found an 80 for really cheap and its been completely rebuilt with a stage 2 shift kit, and came with a 3400 stall, for $700 which in California is cheap. The truck is a single cab step side with a 5.3 motor and I have cammed with upgraded springs, push rods, injector, and I'm running a Garrett Turbo kit. My 60 went out once and I rebuilt it, but I went very cheap since I found that 80. The stall should make up for the 1st gear and well I just think a 80 can handle the boost. I'm pretty much gonna use for the 1/4 mile. I hardly drive truck too so MPG not a big concern.
