i jsut put a 4l60e in my 97 and i got everything hooked up got it running and it whined so i shut it right off checked sum things and found out there was no fluid on the dipstick so i put fluid in a qt at a time fired it up real quick and checked it till it showed on the stick then i started workin it through the gears till it showed a steady level but after all that it took about 9 qts it still whined but not as bad but still there i took it for a drive around the block and when i pulled it in the shop the whine went away idk what caused the whine (ie the pump or whatever else is in an auto i only know 5 spds) but do you think i did any damage?
