Default 4L80E trans flare up

Hi everyone,
I have a 2004 Silverado 2500 (non hd) when I accelerate lightly, between the 2-3 up shift, it seems to flare up before completing the shift. Only by a couple hundred rpm. Any thoughts?

so what you are saying is the tranny seems to be missing a shift? or the motor is revving to get to the shift?

The engine is revving up 2-3 hundred Rpm between that shift. Like it was slipping. Doesn't happen on a hard accel though.

Are you sure this isn't a 4L60E? 4L80 uses a stacked shift, whereas the 4L60E has a timed shift.

My Chevy 2500 Silverado 373 rear end gears when I have no trailer attached sometimes it shifts sort of hard between second and third and seems like the overdrive is comes and goes but when I have a trailer and loaded it never shifts hard like that and I wondered if it was something solenoid or something like that before I go change the transmission any ideas

Leaky seal or wobbly piston on either the 1/2 or 3/4 accumulator.....
