5.7 vortec intake assembly question

Finishing my reman project. got my new mpi fuel injection installed almost ready to put on the plentom and drop `er in. Are these breather tubes coming out of intake or is there hoses that connect to them? I didnt do the tear down so I dont know.

Nothing attaches to them,one is for the EGR and the other is PVC i think
