I am looking at buying a 2007 truck that has the 6.0 vortec max. The truck has had a new engine put in it. when I asked the owner why he stated that the engine would not convert to 6 cylinders from 8 while on the hiway so he took it in and they replaced it. My question is is this a good motor and if not what kind of problems can I expect.

 

why exactly did it have a motor replaced? and these motors are STRONG. my dad has one with a custom tune and it moves. these motors sweet spots are 3000+ rpms. once it hits up there it really pulls
