now that the truck runs, i have one more problem. the 700r4 transmission is making a clicking noise. ussily you hear it at lowidel oracceleration. quiet at cruising.NOTE: i have just removed a fuel injected 4.3, and swaped with a new gm goodwrench carberated 350. is this noise from not having lockup. i have ordered the vacume controled lock up kit. just havent gottin it yet. also what does luckup do?

Transmission fluid is fine
i serviced the trans wile i had it out of the truck.

Look for cracks in the flex platethey will make a ticking sound. When the torque converter is locked up there is no slippage meaning all power is getting to the tranny this is usually achieved in overdrive.

Ireplaced the flexplate with a new one. but i wouldent be suprised that it has cracks in it. i drove it 3 miles when i heard the clicking. it was cheap and the only the had at the auto parts store.
