Trying to replace the oil pan gasket in a 94, 5.7. I get different opinions whether or not the engine needs to be lifted. Looks like the only trouble would be the oil pump is in the way. Otherwise it looks like the pan would drop right out. Any help appreciated.

 

I changed one a couple years ago on my 94 blazer. The oil pan will not come out but if you are patient, you can get the gasket worked around the pickup for the oil pump. Good luck.
