95 3/4 ton tranny and a 85 3/4 ton tranny

ok my brother has 95 3/4 with the auto... will a torqe converter work from a 85 3/4 work on a 95 3/4????? i think its a scottsdale

I can't tell you if it would fit or not, but it is 2 different transmissions. The 95 should have a 4L80E and the 85 I believe, had a TH400.
I'm sure someone knows better than me.

yeah i know it has different trannys i just need to know if the torqe converter is the same....

The 4L80E and the 400 are the same. The 4L80E has over drive tho. Conventers are most likely to be the same also

I believe... 4L80E is a 700R4 only run by electronics. A 700R4 is a TH400 with overdrive.

All three transmissions are pretty close to the same thing. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Only one way to find out. Throw it in and see what happens. That's what I'd do.
