I've got a '98 doing the same thing. I yanked the power plug to the motor and just "live" with the red light. Brakes work very well.

Hi there, I Have a 95 Chevy G-20 sports van, and everything I read says the ABS are some should be on the trans tail shaft, I have front wheel ABS. All the books say it’s supposed to be on the trans tailshaft, There’s no listing for front wheel ABS sensors in any parts catalogs or parts pros I’ve spoken to, does anyone have some light they can share on this? The ABS light is on, and the right front sensor wiring is ripped off, which I’d like to replace. Can anyone shed any light on this problem? Big big thanks in advance.
