My son's 95 z71 door locks started activating while driving, then stalling when braking (ocassionally). Unplugged a vipor 300+ and the next day the truck wont start. Used in the morning and afternoon with no problems then suddenly wont start. Cranks, no dash indicator lights(check engine, airbag....) I wont be able to look at it for 2 days but would like a starting point. I have no idea about the alarm system, would simply unplugging cause it to stop working. He tried to plug it back in but the alarm sounded (first time heard since he owned truck). No fuel at the tbi but again is it from the unplugged alarm? Help.... Thanks

I have no spark and no fuel at tbi, and dont hear fuel pump, no indicator lights or gauges but cranks. The research regarding the alarm says if it cranks its not the alarm. My question is the ignition switch. If not working in the run position, all above would not work. Correct? Next, is there a fuse or relay or something like that would send power to all before seperate fuses? Or any thing else that will help. Thanks

Hey thanks for the help, (sarcastic tone). Just for future reference, it was the ignition switch. Other sites provided the clue, no power to gauges and indicator lights with no spark and no fuel. And re the alarm, if it cranks, its not the alarm.

i dont think it is the ignition switch, I think it is the computer. Every thing you name is controlled by the computer. Ignition switch doesnt contol anything but the start circuit after the computer grounds the switch.

The ingnition switch resolved the issue. It runs now. The switch in the run position was not working, so the computer assumes the truck is off. I ran a search, symptoms of a bad ignition switch and it mapped the exact problems my son was having. It stated the a big clue is no gauges and/or indicator lights, plus no spark and no fuel pump. Thanks.
