Has anyone seen this problem before. I have a 98 tracker that I replaced the distributor crank sensor and ECU. I have spark, compresion, anda good timming belt and tensioner and all is correctly lined up according to all data. The vehicle cranks with bright sparkand no start, just a few back fires out of the intake. dose any one have any ideas?

Default RE: 98 Tracker cranks but won't start

Spark, compression, good, how about fuel?

Also, I've seen shops sell the wrong parts, perhaps ones for different models that they think will serve the purpose, but are "clocked" for a different motor, (same part, mounted in a different relative position) causing the timing to be out of whack by anywhere from 120 to 180 degrees. Sometimes they can be "re-clocked" to fit and work.

My Sebring's EGR valve needed to be "re-clocked" to be mounted, but works just fine.
