95 Silverado need help please
I just changed trannys in my truck from a 95 single piece to a 98 2 piece 4L60E. the tranny works great except it shifts at really high rpms in all gears, almost exactly the same rpms unless I let off the gas. can you tell me whats the problem? I changed the neutral safety and gear selection sensor on side , I used the one off my old one as this one was broken. I also changed the main wiring harness that runs all the electronics inside as that was broken also, and also istalled the one from old tranny, everything plugged in the same and was identical. what can i say lol the new tranny was free but it supposidely worked fine before I got it. can anyone tell me if my neutral safety and gear selection sensor might be bad? It looked odd as in it is a slotted hole that goes onto gear selector bar but the hole looked kind of messed up, if the flat side (which is almost round for some reason) was off when I put it on would that make a difference? the bolt hole are slotted where it is mounted and I tried to adjust it but it made no difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thx
