Exclamation '96 1500 5.7 no start

Hi guys, trying to help a friend with his truck. Heres the deal, 1996 1500 5.7 2wd. Had about 200k, ran great up until he lost a cylinder. Pulled the engine, had it stroked and built with forged internals. Putting it back together, and cant get any spark?? Everything is hooked up. Changed distributor, coil, and control module... Nothing. Only codes is a tranny code, and a P1100?? Not sure on that one.

Thanks in advance

did you use the same crank there are pickups for the crank sensor on it, if thats not there or the crank sensor is bad that will cause no spark check the wiring going to the crank sensor and for voltage at the sensor

Shamrock, I will swap crank sensors, and get the details on the crank itself.

Kevin, that code wouldnt stop it from making fire, right?

Manifold pressure is the barometric pressure (absolute) plus fuel in the intake manifold. Look for a sensor somewhere on the intake, I think it is just unhooked/overlooked. This is used (not that knowledgeable of this on a car) for fuel mixture/power ect. You may have heard in aviation terms of "inches of manifold pressure" thats inches of mercury in the fuel manifold.

Well the sensor is in there, and hooked up.

The crank is a new Eagle crank. I'm gonna have him talk to the guy that put the engine together and see what the deal is...

That code says open or shorted. Not saying it isn't in hooked up, just what the code tells you. You can check the voltage to the sensor, and what the signal voltage is.
