'96 1500 High Oil Pressure Problems
Hi everyone, I need a little help and hope someone can answer my questions.
I have a 1996 chevy 1500 with the 4.3l engine. The oil pressure all of a sudden started running real high (80 psi+). It drops slightly when warmed up, but not that much. The pressure is so high it keeps blowing the gasket under the oil filter adapter.
I am thinking the relief valve has stuck shut. Has anyone ever experienced this? If so how did you resolve it?
Also where is the relief valve located? I can't seem to find any information on line about the relief valve itself.
Thanks in advanced for your help, I am getting sick of changing the gasket.
