Hey all, just broke the drivers side interior door handle on my 96 2500 silverado. I wouldn't be so bothered except this is the 4th I've been through, with this one only lasting about 9 months. So, are there any interior handles that are higher quality that normal Auto Zone ones? Or possibly a trick to keep from breaking them?

 

get your door realligned, and replace the mechanism or at least make sure it is not worn from dragging on the latch pin. check latch pin for a grove if so replace it as well. the door is likely dragging and worn into the latch mechanism causing it to "hang up" you then have to yank harder to get it to unlatch
