So i picked up a set of 16's to put on my 01 silverado (Got a a great deal 150 bucks for rims and tires with over 8/32 still on the treads). My 01 currently has 16s but the ones from the 97 hit the calipers just before they are all the way on. I was wondering if i could get away using a 1/4inch spacer? I can't find anything online that has been helpful. I have disks front and back. Like i said they almost fit except that last little bit is when they hit. Any help would be much appreciated.

PS. I should add that the tires i picked up are 265/75R/16 which is the same size as my spare. I currently have 285/75R/16 and the rims are corroding and that's why i picked these up and hoping a 1/4inch spacer will do the job.
