Default 97 z71 dies

i have a 97 z71 with a 5.7L. heres my problem. its been running rough for a while but here lately its been getting worse. mis-fires while driving and i have a watery oil substance coming from my passenger bank on start up. i figured i had a blown head gasket so i tore the motor down and replaced all gaskets. during the process i noticed my distributor drive gear pretty worn. i replaced the gear and re-assembled the motor. after 5 hrs of jacking with the timing i got it running. starts fine, idles good and runs good. when i come up to a stop the motor dies. i even put it in neutral and held it at 2500rpm and when i got down around 10mph it dies. once it dies it cranks really slow. it also has new battery and the starters ok. im lost

1997 should give a code.
ISC solenoid?
Vacuum leak?
Oil Pressure?

i can read my dtc codes with my hypertech and the code is "p0174" which has to do with it being lean. this code was on before the top end rebuild and it never died on me

i already disconnected my battery and reset the codes...the truck ran for about 20 min before it triped the "p0174" code but even when the code was off it would still die

take off the upper intake manifold and check the injectors, make sure they are all firing properly, could have clogged injectors

i just replaced cap and rotor...truck ran like a dream for about 20 min. fires right up, idles great, great throttle response, plenty of power. then while runing wot, right at 70 mph it falls on its face. i back off and it runs fine. doesnt die. i run it wot from stop light to stop light and when i come up to a stop...shuts down. then cranks super slow. once it fires up it runs great until i run wot..then it dies.
