mass air flow sensor is the thing hooked up to your air filter. Auto zone sells a kit for cheap intakes it will work good if you put a K&N filter on it as opposed to changing it a lot.. but i would recomend the K&N intake kit lifetime warranty. And power cost money dont skimp on some rigged peice of crap intake

Relax. Suzuki guy is right. The MAF(that thing by the OEM air filter box)bolts right onto your new CAI kit. K&N gives you all the hardware, Diagrams even I could read and understand, and a 800 number in case you have problems with the new CAI.(you won't) IMO, a worthwhile investment for anybody.

You will not get anything from the CAI. The engine already takes in the amount of air it can use. Now if you modify the engine (intake, heads) and the exhaust it may help. If can not get the extra air out it will not take it in. You may get 4-5 Hp but in my opinion that is not anything and you will never feel it. The claim of 30 HP is just a sales gimmick to get suckers to purchase it.

I think a chip or power programer is the way to go if you want to notice anything, unless you spend a good deal of money on internals.
If you are just looking for a good hole shot nothing compares to nitrous dollar for dollar.
