My pickup has a 4.8l vortec, i want to know what would have to happen for me to install a 6.0 in it?

 

Pull the 4.8 and swap in a 6.0, get it tuned for it. Gonna want to put in a few transmission goodies as well to make it last with the power of the 6.0

 

I don't know if you are getting a junk yard motor but you can go country 09 way, I would personally see if you can't get the 6.0 tranny and motor out the same truck if you can. If your motor and tranny are still good, I don't see any problem with you selling those to help pay for the 6.0 motor and transmission. Let us know which you go, that will one bad truck.

 

I will, It already is a bad truck with the 4.8l.... lol At a 35-40 roll when it down shifts the truck gets sideways...

 

then it really will with the 6.0, but the tired 4L60e won't last long behind a 6.0 pushin it.
