Default 99 Silverado tire size

I am looking at buying 03 Z71 wheels with 265/75/16 tires. The truck is a 99 Silverado reg cab short bed 4x4 with v6. Would there be any problems with putting the tires on my truck? Thanks for any help.

no there should not be. that tire size is I think is about stock. not sure what you have now. if the size is different it might make your speedo a little off, but not by much.

I have the same question, I have 05 silverado 4x4 1500. The tires I have are P265/70R17. I want to put 16" tires. Little cheaper and little shorter.

I'll re-affirm. I have 265/75/16's on my Sierra 1500 (same as chevy), fits fine, you could even go bigger like country_09 did with 285's. anything bigger than 285 might not fit.

On my '99 K1500 I've been looking for tires online, some sites say 245, while others say you can go 245 or 265/75R16. I plan on going with 265 as well.

265 you'll be fine. i believe oem is 245/75/16. i have 265 70 17 right now and want to put 285s on probably if not 295s. still 17 inch rims. good luck.
