I'm about to buy a 96 GMC Sierra that has 345,000 Kms on it what should I look for to see if it has any damage or other things I should be worried about . like leaks trans etc?

 

I was thinking about your question and really could not come up with anything to definitely look at other than yor normal wear and tear. What troubles I have had with my GM trucks had no premature symptoms or signs. Just talking with other owwers they say you will eventually have to replace the tranny. I have not. The ac compressor belt will need to be replaced annually as it breaks. Clean the air intake regularly due to rough idle. And I am not aware of any chronic leak problems etc..
GMs they look good when they break down! Ha Ha
