Hi,

I have a bad cigarette lighter outlet in my truck and would like to replace it with an accessory outlet. I have the outlet to install but want to make sure it is possible to replace the cigarette lighter with an accessory outlet and I cannot figure out how to get the cigarette lighter out to replace it. How do I remove the trim around the cigarette lighter outlet?

Apparently Chevy's got a new specialized tool to remove those but if I read right inside are two small "latch" style hooks that hold it in. I believe you can pop those loose and then try to wiggle it out(remember to pull the fuse for it first)
