Default Aftermarket Steering Shaft

Hello, I am new here.. I have a 2005 silverado 5.3, 2wd. I just had JBA long tube headers put on but my issue now is my steering shaft is hitting against my headers. My local mechanic said I need a aftermarket lower steering shaft. I have called performance shops, stores. looked online but I have had no luck finding anything. wondering if anyone on here has came across this issue before or anyone have any ideas on what can be done?

Email or Call JBA and see what they say. Maybe the headers are incorrect for the application or they have a solution.

I think it’s likely the header will need to be replaced or modified. I would consider column replacement/modification a last resort, for safety reasons.
