Question All led

If I want to go LED all around am I going to need a load resistor or LED flasher (or both)? I want to get it right on the first try. I only want to change the bulbs.

get the flasher!!..its easier...and safer...may cost a couple dollars more but its worth it...the resistors get very hot and can cause fire...imo go with the flashers

Not neccesarily. Resistors, if sized right, will get warm after about a minute of solid runtime yes, but they can also change the color of your leds.

You definately need a low-load flasher.

you know... not only should you go all led outside... but inside too. thats what im doing and let me just share how much better it is. why didnt we think of it earlier. i mean the price for the output is great. and if i leave the inside lights on i dont worry about as much of a drain and the plastic covers dont get all hot and disfigure like i had once with my cab light. just my two cents.

im passed that stage....couldnt be happier either...ive tried this because of my system has such a draw that they would dim so bad...after a cap and new leds...not a single light dims anymore...all in all i believe its would be better off for your running systems and battery over all

So did you use a low-load flasher?

yes low load flashers..tried the resistors and after a couple months i realized after changing a head light out that the resistor was meltin the plastic mounting brackets on the back of the head light...confronted superbrightleds.com abd the had said that resistors will do that with extended run time and if not paired right...so with that being said i went with the flashers instead..also from superbrightleds.com
