I have a 2002 Silverado 1500 4x4 and its having some problems
The problem is that the 4x4 indicator light is on but its not in gear and there is also a ticking noise when moving at any speed

Any help would be great.

 

The Service 4x4 light is similar to the service engine light in a way. When it comes on it means something is off in the 4x4 system and it should be serviced. Much like the engine, that light can come on for any one of a number of things, some of them so small it is not noticeable when in use and could theoretically go for some time with the issue. Your best bet is to take her into the shop and have your 4WD system serviced.

As for the ticking noise, in 4 wheel or all times?

 

I would take it to the shop. I had a similar issue with my Honda Van. The ECO light wouldn't come on. Took it to the shop and they fixed it.
