Bad cat fixed ???????
On advise of MDTAHOE I researched CATACLEAN catalytic cleaner and the info sounded solid. Went to local parts store and of course they had no idea what it was . I looked at different fuel additives that had similar properties, the older guy working the store had high praise for SEA Foam, I had nothing to lose, Cats for my truck, installed correctly, was going to run about $1500 at local shop,. I bought two cans of Sea Foam, poured them into the gas tank , about 1/2 full, approx, 16 gallons, drove to the gas station about two hundred yards away to squirt some high test in to stir it up, filled the tank, started the truck ,and the light was out !!!!!. I dont know what that stuff did , how or why it worked, or if it would ever work like that for any one else. If anyone can explain it, please do, If someone told me that story I 'd call him a liar to his face, I was amazed, and gratefull, Thanks again to MDTAHOE.

Do not count your chickens yet. For the check engine light to be out the computer has not seen the problem in a few drive cycles. If you had the light turned out it will not come back on until the catalyst monitor has been run which may take a few drives.

Interesting info... MDTAHOE, do you have any recommendations for this?
use as a preventative or only as needed? high mileage vehicles?
CataClean Global Ltd.

Judging by what I have read in some of the Amazon reviews about it, it sounds like it will get you through an emissions inspection, which should give someone more opportunity/time to get the vehicle properly service / repaired...
