My tune has the CAI on it, so I'm thinking it'll help. Plus this one sounds awesome.

Just a quick update bout how the tune is doing. Still don't have a crank relearn. But My fuel mileage has improved from 13.75 to 14.25 city driving... thats excellent to me. I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility for me to hit 15mpg in town, seeing how my revs are lower at speed because of the tires. I just need to keep my foot out of it a lil more.

Default BB tune

I just got mine done yesterday in Brunswick. Had a great time. Justin is a knowledgeable guy at his trade - no worries there. He spotted an issue from my CAI install particular to the flex fuel engines. Since they don't use an alcohol sensor anymore, they 'interpret' the fuel quality (% of ethanol). Adding the CAI caused it to believe I was running nearly 20% ethanol. This was killing my highway mileage. I could pull 15+ mpg easily in town, but 16.4 was the best I could do on the highway. When I first got the truck I know I was getting 18.
On the way home I was running anywhere from 20-17.8. Can't say for sure since I was trapped on I4 for 45 minutes at 4 mph. All lanes both directions stopped for an accident. The one area your can't get off or turn around...
No matter what, my mileage and performance have improved dramatically!

hey NauticStar, I see that you have a 6-speed auto in your truck and I thought that I read on the Blackbear website that they did not have a tune for the 6-speed tranny that they could send through the mail, that they could do it in person though. Not sure if you've ever seen their site but apparently I either read it wrong or they've just not updated their site I guess. Sounds like you're enjoying your tune, I'm going to contact them about getting one for a 2010 2500hd and see what they say. Thanks for the info on your tune.
