Bought the new 2015 2500HD and need lower running boards...
I bought the dealers stainless ones that were 6 inches wide for the crew cab. Since this truck seems to be much higher off the ground then my 2008 HD I was curious what some of you guys may be doing.
Has anyone bolted on an additional step or changed to the electric ones that lower?
I'm 5' 10" and it's starting to be an exercise getting into my truck.
Thanks...

G, I am not sure if the power steps are actually lower than the normal bolt on. I can remember seeing steps that have mounting bracket extensions but I can not remember the make or model. You will have to do some digging. I did see that Chevy now has a cut out in the rear bumper to step on to aid in getting into the bed. Like you I have a 2500 HD and the step in the bumper is too high for me. (5' 8") I installed the bed step and bed step 2 from amp research. They work great. They also have the power step if you wish to research that.

As far as side steps I installed Trailfx 4 1/2 oval stainless steel. I do not have a problem getting in and out, yet : ) Good luck in your research
