Default Running Boards Question - need help

Wife ran over a large rock which smashed part of our 2007's running board. I have found one from a 2000 Tahoe. The person claims they are the same. Can anyone let me know if this is so? TIA

when going from a GMT800 to a 900 I can't imagine they kept the same running boards...
