Default Opposite of normal key/FOB question

I did a quick search on this in here and on google, and didn't find any info on it. I asked a Service Department Rep and they said it can't be done, but I just don't believe it.

I can find guides left and right on how to program a key and a key fob to the truck... I am looking to UN program them, or erase the current keys and fobs programmed and reprogram them with new coding.

In short I broke up with my ex and she finally took her name off my truck but refuses to give me the keys back. I know she can go to jail if she messes with it cause her name is no longer on the ownership papers....... but to just stop her at the door from getting in and/or starting the truck would be simpler.

Post Opposite of normal key/FOB question

Close all the vehicle doors, insert the ignition key and then press and hold the door unlock switch. Make ignition on and off and repeat it once again. Release the door unlock switch. Press and hold lock and unlock button simultaneously on one transmitter. After these procedure door will lock and unlock to confirm the program mode and repeat this procedure for all 4 transmitters. Exit from the programming by simply turning the ignition switch to Run position.

If she has a key, won't she still be able to unlock w/ key and drive it off? Or does the above procedure de-program the key also?

On most vehicles when you reprogram the fobs you must do them all at the same time or any fob that is not done will not work anymore. There is always the option of replacing the keyless entry/ anti theft module.

"...repeat this procedure for all 4 transmitters." And how is he to do that if he dosen't have access to the ex's fob? I am almost certain that MDTahoe is correct, just reprogram the one(s) you do have and any others that were not programmed at that time will no longer work. The key will still start the truck, even if the fob will not unlock the doors so don't leave your doors unlocked!

The driver's side door can be unlocked with a key. At least it's that way on my 2011. The alarm will sound but will stop when you put the key in the ignition and start the truck.

Doh! Missed the obvious, got thinking about RKE and forgot the key! Change the lock cylinder(s) AND reprogram key fobs.
