Default Brake Fluid

I have a 2001 Silverado 1500 LS 5.3L 2wd and I'm getting ready to change the brake fluid in it. I'm considering replacing the fluid with Castrol GT LMA brake fluid. I understand this is dot 3 and 4 compatible. Has anybody had any issues using this fluid?

Thanks in advance.

As long as you are not racing or having it undergo high temperatures,
Any DOT 3 brake fluid will suffice.
At least mine is DOT 3, not sure about your 2001.
All it is is hydraulic fluid

Thanks for the reply.

My 2001 Silverado uses DOT 3 as well. I was considering using Castrol GT LMA because it is is good brake fluid and many people who use it have great things to say about it. If I'm going to change the fluid I may as well use the good stuff for a few dollars more. I definitely won't be doing any racing in my truck though, lol. It may be overkill. I was wondering if there is any known issues with using this fluid in an 2001 Silverado.
