Brake problem!
Hey folks,
I've got a 1994 Chevy Silverado 4x4 and I just put on a new Master Cylinder. Now my brake pedal fades to the floor with constant pressure. Any suggestions??????
Dave.

RE: Brake problem!
Check your brake fluid make sure you have enough. If you do, then make sure the fluid in the container is clean and fresh. If water or anything got into it it won't work properly replace the fluid and bleed your brakes and see if it fixes the problem. Also I have heard it can be the brake booster is bad. Check that out.

RE: Brake problem!
If it wasn't fading before the swap try bleeding the whole system again. some times it takes several tries. Did you bench Bleed it before install?
Rebuilt or new?

For a bench bleed while it's still on the truck, merely disconnect the lines, and jack the back of the truck UP till the top surface of the brake fluid resevoir(at the top of the master cylinder) is perfectly level. Then follow bench-bleeding instructions. Then re-attach the lines and bleed the brakes normally, after you jack it down. Worst come to worst, take it to someone who has a powerbleeder to get that air out of the lines.
You'll know without a doubt(better have that seat belt on) when you get the air out!
