Hi i own a 1998 chevy silverado and recently my brakes haven't been work adequately, i am not losing brake fluid so i am unsure of the problem. any thoughts?

 

What do the brakes do that is not normal?

 

How do I post a new question on this forum? My heater controls are an issue for me and I need to know how the control and actuators work, Anyone with some information out there?

 

there is very little braking power and i constantly have to pump my brakes in order for them to work, and they usually go to the floor. and you can post a new thread under thread tools.

Could also be air in the lines, but there would have to be an underlying issue to get air in the lines (damaged brake line or something)

 

Nah, air in the lines and the brakes would be grabby and lock up too easy. Because you cant compress fluid but you can compress air, the brakes would grab as the air and fluid shift in position against the wheel cylinder or caliper pistons.

 

Im not sure how to do a new thred. I have a prob with my brakes on my 97 z71. it bounces when i stop. anybody have a clue whats wrong?

 

Agree with master cylinder. I have had 2 cars with those symptoms and a new master cylinder fixed it. Be sure to bench bleed it properly if you get a new one.
