Default cab bushing cushions

Hi Everyone, I am new to this forum. This is my first post. I am going to be getting a 1988 Chevy 1500 in a couple days from a guy at work. I don't know much about it but he is giving it to me for no cost so I am not too picky.
He tells me it runs great and it doesnt really need much work other than cab bushing cushions. I saw a picture of it. (I still have not actually seen the truck yet)
The photo shows the cab is sitting a little lower than the bed. He also told me that you feel every bump while driving it. I did a little research and found the kit on eBay for about 75 bucks. it comes with directions to do this repair myself but I don't have the tools or the place to do it. I will be taking it to someone to have it done.

Does anyone know approximately how much it would cost to have a repair like this done? and how long it takes?

Are the bushings bad or the cab mounts?

Guessing here but I would say 4 hrs labor at a shop. Figure $85-$125 per hour shop rate plus parts and taxes says at a shop $450-$600. A floor jack, block of wood, breaker bar, ratchet and socket set with a can of PB Blaster and you could do this yourself for $100 or less in your driveway. A torch would move things along much faster if you knew someone that had one.

Factory body bushings are rubber. Your picture shows polyurethane which will last alot longer than rubber but is much harder therefore causing a stiffer ride.
